The Federal Jazz Orchestra (BuJazzO) is the official youth jazz orchestra of the Federal Republic of Germany. Outstanding young musicians, together with renowned conductors and instructors, create an ensemble of the highest musical quality. Founded in 1988 by Peter Herbolzheimer and currently under the artistic direction of Niels Klein and Ansgar Striepens, the Federal Jazz Orchestra is considered an excellent training ground for future jazz musicians.
